Iain started off his love for the ocean as a nipper in Durban’s North Beach, South Africa where he competed against the best winning Regional and National titles. From there he pursued his love for bodyboarding where he rode for his region and won multiple national titles at a young age in 2012 he represented South Africa where he won a gold in the ISA World Bodyboard Champs for Dropknee.
In 2016 Iain won his first APB World Tour event and finished in a 4th place heading after into the last event of the year in first. He has proved to be a strong competitor as well as a good free surfer putting many months into seasons on the North Shore Oahu, Hawaii in Winter. He has also traveled to Chile, Brazil, Canary Islands, Portugal, Los Angeles, Mexico and all around South Africa to find some of the best waves on offer to bodyboard.
Iain’s career highlights have been winning the Arica Chilean Challenge in 2016 to Amaury Laverhne as well as a win in Viana, Portugal and a second at the 2017 Mike Stewart Pipeline Invitational.
